救命啊。 i got cold sore again. seems like a every semester thing. by the way, once you get a cold sore, you will always get it. the reoccurence is caused by

Emotional upset and stress.
Physical stress and fatigue.
Illnesses (including a cold or the flu).
Injury to the lips or skin, such as physical trauma or severe chapping.
Injury to the lips from excessive exposure to bright sunlight or ultraviolet lamps.
Menstruation or pregnancy.
An immune system deficiency.

oh man. it must have been the sun. it's terrible. sunburnt nose and cold sore at the mouth.

just came back from local expedition last night and it was super good!!!!

i am very impressed with the welfare of local ex. firstly, we had good food. the breakfast and dinner on the second day was fantastic too. one of the best food at camps that i ever had. and they were so nice. natz told us that she said that she din like veg, and her cai fan really don have veg. and during campfire, we had icecream!! i never felt starved throughout the camp. it's so good.

there was also prize presentation at the end of the camp. and i think that they put in alot of effort in making it a memorable event for all of us.

i think that the activities were great. treetop walk, night cycling, kayaking and campfire. but i think the company was even better. i love bak kut teh. we are so small so it feels really cosy. we had a cheer that we never used. we had names for everyone in the group. it's so funny.

i think that night cycling was the most scary for me, coz i am not good with the bike. i am scared of down slope and no strength for up slope. but people are really nice. they wait for me all the time. so tolerant and so encouraging. :). i think that you have to go through such stuff that you realise that the people around you are really really nice.

hi!!! i am back!!!

happy new year everyone! this year is a sleepy one for me, i have been sleeping non-stop since the start of the year. i take a nap everyday. and i sleep till about 9-11 every morning. i like to use the excuse that i am sick. in fact, i am sick. i cannnot believe this. third time since the start of the year. i don want to be sick again!!!

as usual, new year is about meeting people whom you only see once a year. out of concern, they will all ask the same questions. in other words, new year is also about repeating the same things over and over again. last year, they asked about university. this year, they asked about my braces. my grandma is the cutest. she doesnt know wad is braces, the moment she saw me she went, " what happened to your teeth?"

well, so other than "xin nian kuai le, gong xi fa cai", this is what i say 90% of the time in malaysia. "ya, i put them on in july, will be taking them off in another 1.5 years. it's not very expensive coz i get discounts from my friend's dad. (secretly, i do thank shane for this. if it's too expensive, my relatives are going to complain about me living lavishly.)"

to kids, this is what i tell them. " i put braces because i think my teeth are not straight enough. no, it's not very painful, i got used to it already. ya. i have to extract 4 teeth. can you see the 4 holes?"

so the year is about braces and teeth.

i must remember to blog about my nephew the next time. he is super cute.

anyway, prof was showing us examples of assignment 2. (we have to come up with a series of 6 pictures to convey a message). there was this series of pictures which talked about genesis. so the prof introduced this set of pictures as " you need to have some religious knowledge before you can decipher the message".

immediately, there was a thunder. the only thunder we heard in the day. anyway, the class roared in laughter...

so he said,"i don know which one i offended."

what a coincidence...or is it not a coincident right?

i heard this in church today. the pastor's prayer touched me so much.

my theory on multi tasking

people are increasing capable of multi-tasking. for example, they can msn, listen to music, msn, blog and mug at the same time. (refering to me at this point in time).

i can easily think of incidents when i do two things at a time. even when i am travelling, i will listening to my mp3 and/or sleeping at the same time. and most of the time, we talk things over the meals. so we eat and settle issues at the same time. very seldom, we do one thing at a time.

and i am surprised at my own aability last night.

i slept and came actually finished my assignment. haha. what happened was that i dreamt of an idea for my 202 project!!! i am so happy when i woke up. all i need to do now is to actualise my ideas. haha.

today, i read this story...

A man took his grandson to a fish pond and told him to throw a stone into the water. The grandfather told him to watch the circles created by the stone. Then he asked the grandson to think of himself as that stone.

The grandfather said, "You may create lots of splashes in your life but the waves that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures.

"Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles. You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others. The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both."

That was the first time the grandson realized that each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world. We cannot create world peace, if indeed it is at all possible, if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt, or anger. We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not. Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.

and i read this too.

Realistically, the only person you can change is yourself. Look within yourself for your shortcomings and work to fix them. If you’re hoping that others might also change for the better, you can only lead by example or open the channels of communication and genuinely seek to understand.

and so i thought, if i am ever unhappy, i will affect the people around me, whether they deserve it or not. and since staying unhappy is worse than staying happy, the best thing to do is to change yourself.

i believe that i am an online addict + a mahjong addict.

today i almost din go online the whole day coz i was either in class or playing mahjong or video editing. and it's already 4 am. dead tired but i still have to come online to check my mail and blog.

i played 2 rounds of mahjong today. all i can say is shiok. but towards the end of the day( i meant 3-4 am.) i was totally not functioning. and it doesnt help that i am sick. ya. i am looking forward to going home tomorrow. i believe i will get well in a day man. haha.

oh ya. today's 224's class was fun. it was talking about alot of stuff about relationship. and we did a test about whether we are a romantic person or not. and i got a score of 3.73 out of 7. by the way, that is below average. the average for girls is 4.6 and for guy is 4.8. anyway, if anyone wants to do, ask me show you my textbook!! haha, it's pretty fun. actually, i am quite shock that i am not a romantic person coz i always thought i was. it seems like i am more cynical towards relationship. i am trying to qualify this....hmmm...i think the best reason is that i have received my enlightenment already. :)
